Learn to weave a dream catcher. Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams, both good and bad. When hung above the bed in a place where the morning sunlight can hit it, the dream catcher attracts all sorts of dreams and thoughts into its webs. Good dreams pass through, and gently slide down the feathers to the sleeper below, while bad dreams are caught in its protective web and destroyed, burned up in the light of day. In this workshop, you will deepen your understanding behind the history of dream catchers, and will be invited to bring meaning, intention and life into your own piece of creative art to take home with you.
The workshop will begin with a welcome circle to gather inspiration and hold space for our collective creative energies.
We will supply all general materials needed, including hoops, wrapping materials, feathers, and wooden beads for decoration. Please feel free to bring any additional small objects from home to make your dream catcher more personal and meaningful. Charms, talismans, buttons, shells, ribbons, lace, beads – whatever your creative spirit desires! ‘
We will close the workshop by smudging our dream catchers and giving thanks. Relax and free your mind and be creative in this workshop, as you create something beautiful. Come weave with me & the Indigo Tribe
